JOCELYN BENSON
KEEP FIGHTING for michigan’s future
Michiganders are getting crushed by high prices everywhere they go. They deserve a government that works for them, not special interests that keep costs high by influencing politicians.
That’s why Jocelyn Benson is fighting to root out corruption and lower costs for middle-class families, from health care and utilities to housing and taxes. She’ll require politicians to tell voters who funds them, take on powerful lobbyists, and ban stock trading for elected officials.
As Secretary of State, Jocelyn fixed a broken system by putting services online and installing kiosks in grocery stores, cutting average wait times from three hours to 20 minutes and saving Michiganders time and money. She’s making sure Lansing works for us.
John James can’t say the same.
He’s gotten richer while serving in Congress, trading millions of dollars in stocks in companies he's supposed to regulate—like utility companies, drug makers, Big Oil, Big Pharma, health insurance companies, and AI data center corporations. He even got caught illegally failing to disclose over 145 stock trades.
But special interests aren’t just making James personally wealthier—they’re bankrolling his campaigns, too. He took nearly $400,000 from drug and health insurance companies, and voted to give them billions of dollars in tax handouts while opposing lowering drug prices and voting against protecting Social Security and Medicare. He took over $100k from data center developers, and voted four times to block local control over data centers. He was even fined for accepting over $500,000 in illegal campaign contributions.
Michiganders can’t trust John James to stand up to special interests while he’s cashing their checks.
Tell Jocelyn Benson: Keep fighting corruption and lowering costs.
